Latest news: World Book Night
Anna Foster at World Book Night — Saturday 5th March

My World Book Night event went very well. I gave away copies of Life of Pi at Gatwick Airport and books flew off to Sweden, Egypt, Canada, the US, France, Croatia, Italy, Cuba, Iceland, Spain and Portugal, among others. A few people had heard of WBN, but it was news to most, and everyone thought it was a great initiative.
Once people have read their copy, I hope they'll pass it on. They can leave feedback on the World Book Night site and also at BookCrossing, a book-swapping site.
As I handed my books out in the morning, I called in at Waterstone's, the library and the deli on Sayer's Lane in Tenterden, all of which held evening events. As a result I have five new books to read too.
Thanks for your support and if you want to get involved with next year's World Book Night you can pre-register at their website.
