You By You Books offers a wide choice of finishes for your book; leather-bound, hardback, paperback or saddle-stitched.

You decide the size of your book, giving you greater creative control. We do not use pre-set formats.

Top quality papers are used, individually chosen to suit your book.

Leather-bound

You By You leather-bound books are hand-crafted by our binder in Dorset. Lesley uses a range of leathers, buckram and marbled papers to produce unique, luxury books. The title and author's name are embossed in gold lettering on the front or spine of the book.

These books may be ordered individually and are often chosen to mark a special occasion or anniversary.

Hardbacks

You By You hardbacks are cloth-bound with a dustjacket. A choice of colours is available for the cloth binding, and the title of the book and the author’s name are embossed on the front or spine of the book. Dustjackets are either designed in-house or by specialist designers. You By You’s hardbacks are hand-bound by our Dorset binder for small print runs or machine-bound for longer print runs (over 50 copies).

Paperbacks

You By You paperbacks are very popular. Many customers give paperback copies of their book as Christmas presents or sell them to a local audience. You can produce as small or as large a print run as you require. Covers are individually designed to your specification. Top quality paper and binding materials are used, to give your words and pictures a beautiful finish.

Saddle-stitched Books

You By You saddle-stitched – or stapled – books are often used for shorter books as an alternative to paperbacks. A text which runs to less than 50 pages may be suited to a saddle-stitch finish.
